About the buyer
Arts Council is the Irish government agency for developing the arts, funding mainly artists and arts organisations. Some notices state that the procurement is covered by the Government Procurement Agreement. Art form advisory and assessment services, such as literature, opera and touring, are tendered as separate contracts. Arts Council has run a joint procurement with the Arts Council of Northern Ireland on art and technology mapping. Reviews of procurement decisions go to the High Court of Ireland.
Over the past 5 years, most of Arts Council's contract awards have been in business services, research and development and software and information systems.
