Tender description
The websites of the Cultural Services of Cambridge City Council require redesign and development as it's still under the old label of ‘Cambridge Live’ which was set up as a registered charity in 2014 to facilitate the pursuit of alternative funding opportunities. Now returned within the City Council, from a branding standpoint Cambridge Live continues to filter through all of our websites which currently is the overarching brand tying all the different elements of our service together. Since departing Cambridge Live and re-emerging into the City Council, the Cambridge Live title now not only confuses our identity as a service but generally confuses the wider public. As a department within the City Council, there is an element of separation still due to this name being referenced. We would like these new websites to be simple clear and engaging allowing us to work more effectively with the corporate marketing web team and ensure our websites are accessible and in line with the Cambridge City Councils standard. Our goal is to separate our current websites to create 3 free-standing websites, with the Corn Exchange combined with both the venue Hire’ and Cambridge Live Tickets sections of the current sites. Keywords: web development, web design

About the buyer
Cambridge City Council is a local authority serving Cambridge, running its own procurement function for goods, works and services. Contract opportunities are advertised on the Due North portal, procontract.due-north.com. Smaller purchases run through call-off or measured-term contracts, each suited to routine buying. Consultancy and similar recurring needs sit on corporate frameworks that can run for up to four years. Specialist training and comparable services can instead be bought through a dynamic purchasing system. The council also draws on frameworks let by national bodies such as Crown Commercial Service and ESPO, applying that framework's own rules.
UK local government drives £140bn in annual procurement, led by social protection (£66.6bn) and education (£57.1bn).
Over the past 5 years, most of Cambridge City Council's contract awards have been in business services, architectural and engineering services and waste, cleaning and environmental services.
