About the buyer
The Northern Ireland Assembly Commission is the corporate body that provides the staffing, buildings, goods, services and contracts for the Assembly. Small purchases need no formal competition. Larger contracts go through a formal tender using a competitive procurement procedure. Mid-value purchases use a formal quotation exercise with at least three suppliers. The Commission works with public bodies on joint contracts and follows each framework's call-off process.
Over the past 5 years, most of NI Assembly's contract awards have been in IT services, software and information systems and business services.
