About the buyer
University of Leeds buys as a higher education institution. Framework agreements run through the North Eastern Universities Purchasing Consortium, one of six regional higher education purchasing bodies in the UK. An agreement awarded by one regional consortium is often opened up for the wider network to use. Suppliers who win a University or consortium tender become approved suppliers for ongoing business in those items.
Over the past 5 years, most of University of Leeds's contract awards have been in laboratory and precision equipment and research and development.
