About the buyer
Warwickshire Police is a blue light force serving Warwickshire, and lists tenders on its own In-Tend Procurement Portal. West Midlands Police already supplies Warwickshire's IT services under a standing agreement between the two forces. From April 2021, West Midlands Police began delivering payroll and business support functions for Warwickshire. About ten per cent of Warwickshire's services run through this regional collaboration, the rest handled locally. Forensic Scene Investigators stay based locally at Bedworth, working under West Midlands Police's direction. That collaboration began after Warwickshire's earlier alliance with West Mercia Police broke down in 2020.
The top 10 blue light buyers spent a collective £2.2bn between FY2021 and FY2025.
Over the past 5 years, most of Warwickshire Police's contract awards have been in software and information systems, transport equipment and security and defence equipment.
