Tender description
Minor civils works to support the delivery of the capital investment program. The Framework Agreement is divided into two Lots to cater to the varied needs across the potable and wastewater infrastructure, including, new works, refurbishments replacements and maintenance works. Lot 1 - Civils - Treatment (Potable and Waste Water) (this has the option to include principal contractor appointment) Lot 2 - Civils - Networks (Potable and Waste Water) (this has the option to include principal contractor appointment and deep dig pipe work) Lot 1: Lot 1 - Civils - Treatment (Potable and Waste Water) Lot 1: Civils - Treatment (Potable and Waste Water) a) Groundworks - excavation, dredging, filling, compaction, disposal and landscaping, including all temporary works in support of these activities b) Minor Concrete Works – including concrete plinths and slabs, thrust blocks, small concrete access paths and roads, including all temporary works in support of these activities c) Temporary Works (up to 3 meters below ground level) – provision, safe installation and removal of temporary works up to 3m below ground level d) Projects which are notifiable to the HSE under CDM2015, but where the Contractor is not required to act as Principal Contractor (this will be undertaken by others) e) The Contractor’s personnel working on potable water projects must hold National Water Hygiene cards and comply as a minimum with the requirements of Wessex Water OPSP014 Water Supply Hygiene Code of Practice Lot 2: Lot 2 - Civils - Networks (Potable and Waste Water) Lot 2: Civils - Networks (Potable and Waste Water) a) Temporary Works (up to 3 meters below ground level) – provision, safe installation and removal of temporary works (including falsework, formwork, temporary shoring, structures, supports, back-propping and accesses) up to 3m below ground level b) Pipelines, including rising mains and pressure pipelines - excavation and backfilling pipe trenches, supply, laying and jointing of pipework, valves and fittings, including all temporary works in support of these activities c) Manhole Construction - excavation, supply, construction and backfilling of manholes, draw pits and other chambers, including all temporary works in support of these activities d) Working on potable water projects must hold National Water Hygiene cards and comply as a minimum with the requirements of Wessex Water's Water Supply Hygiene Code of Practice e) Deep dig
