About the buyer

London Borough of Bexley is a local authority whose procurement strategy sits within the Council's wider Corporate Plan. Suppliers register free on the London Tenders Portal, the primary channel for tendering exercises and category alerts. Higher-value opportunities also appear on Find a Tender and Contracts Finder, alongside trade publications and local newspapers. Construction-related work below the regulated threshold goes through approved lists of pre-qualified contractors. The Bexley Contract Register lists the council's live contracts and frameworks for suppliers to review. A Supplier Incentive Programme works with key suppliers on ordering, invoicing and payment processes.

UK local government drives £140bn in annual procurement, led by social protection (£66.6bn) and education (£57.1bn).

Over the past 5 years, most of London Borough of Bexley's contract awards have been in health and social work, construction work and business services.
