Tender description
Wandsworth Council will be embarking on the procurement of extra care services in 2 schemes, Chestnut House (Roehampton) and Ensham House (Tooting) in 2025. Following earlier soft market testing and stakeholder engagement, the Council has been developing a commissioning strategy for extra care services. To further inform this, we would like to invite suitably experienced providers who currently deliver these services to a market engagement event, to be hosted virtually via Microsoft Teams on Tuesday 8th October 2024 from 14:30 - 15:30. At this event we would like to share our vision of the future service delivery model and seek to build on the commissioning approach in partnership with providers that meets the needs of our population, serves residents requirements, and supports quality services within Wandsworth. This workshop will allow providers to input into our ideas on delivery models and strategic partnership working to finalise the commissioning intentions and the procurement strategy. To participate, you must express your interest to attend by registering the name of your organisation and delegate names with email addresses via Atamis e-sourcing portal at https://lb-wandsworth.my.salesforce-sites.com/?searchtype=Projects Please note that attendance is limited to two people from each organisation. Providers must register their interest no later than 12:00 (noon) on 04 October 2024. Please note that participation (or non-participation) in dialogue will confer no advantage or disadvantage should the Council commence the procurement process for this service.

About the buyer
Wandsworth Borough Council is a London local authority that procures goods, works and services for residents across the borough. Contract opportunities are advertised through Atamis eSourcing, the council's e-procurement platform. Suppliers must register with Atamis eSourcing to trade electronically and bid for published tenders. Higher-value contract notices also appear on the government's Contracts Finder and Find a Tender services. Framework agreements cover many routine purchases, including Constructionline for construction projects and consultants. The council keeps no standing list of approved contractors, advertising openly instead whenever a framework or approved list opens.
UK local government drives £140bn in annual procurement, led by social protection (£66.6bn) and education (£57.1bn).
Over the past 5 years, most of Wandsworth Borough Council's contract awards have been in construction work, architectural and engineering services and health and social work.
