Tender description
Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) will be conducting a tender exercise for a new Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning, Gas and Electric (HVACGE) framework. The framework is likely to consist of a single lot where the suppliers that are added to it (with an estimated max number of 5) will be expected to provide all the required services (Heating, ventilation etc.) either themselves or via their supply chain / sub-contractors. The works will cover the entire TfGM estate so will include offices, bus stations and interchanges, a rail station and a number of bus depots. This will be a four (4) year framework with no guarantee of work but there is an estimated potential spend of around £5 million over the full term. This is a prior information notice to notify interested organisations of an up and coming tender opportunity expected to be released soon. There are no further details or documents available at the moment. The tender exercise will be completed via the Pro-Contract / Proactis e-tendering procurement tool, so interested suppliers that don’t already have a login for this system, are encouraged to register. The details contained within this notice are provisional and are subject to change. Keywords: Gas, Maintenance, HVAC, Heating, Ventilation, Gas and Electric, Electric

About the buyer
Transport for Greater Manchester is the local transport body behind the Bee Network, buying with its own team of CIPS-qualified procurement professionals. Tenders are advertised on ProContract, the organisation's own e-tendering portal. Larger opportunities are published as Pipeline Notices on Find a Tender, with older award notices held on Contracts Finder. Established frameworks, run either externally or in-house, cover much of what TfGM buys for ease and speed. Bus contracts follow a separate route, procured through the Bee Network's bus franchising model. Suppliers can reach the procurement team directly by email for guidance on bidding.
UK local government drives £140bn in annual procurement, led by social protection (£66.6bn) and education (£57.1bn).
Over the past 5 years, most of Transport for Greater Manchester's contract awards have been in business services, transport services and IT services.
