About the buyer
Perth & Kinross Council is a Scottish local authority that advertises every tender through Public Contracts Scotland. No approved list of contractors exists; suppliers submit an expression of interest against each advertised opportunity. Suppliers can register free on Public Contracts Scotland and set up alerts by sector or location. A framework agreement for bedding plants, bulbs, trees and shrubs is shared across several Scottish public bodies. The council's procurement team can be reached directly at Procurement@pkc.gov.uk. The council's buyer profile lists current, future and past contract notices alongside a contracts register.
UK local government drives £140bn in annual procurement, led by social protection (£66.6bn) and education (£57.1bn).
Over the past 5 years, most of Perth & Kinross Council's contract awards have been in transport services, transport equipment and construction work.
