RSHE Theatre in Education

Tender description

The provider will deliver a programme of Theatre in Education performances (average length of performance 20 minutes) and workshops to support Dudley education settings with their Relationship, Sex, Health & Education (RSHE) curriculum provision and safeguarding. The offer should accommodate Primary phase, Secondary phase and 16+ age-appropriate pieces. Education settings will be able to choose and book from a menu of age-appropriate performances that cover the following topics: • Anti-bullying • Puberty • Sexual health /contraception • Healthy relationships / consent • Child exploitation including both child sexual exploitation and child criminal exploitation • Misogyny • Child abuse • Domestic and teenage partner abuse • Staying safe on and offline • Mental wellbeing • Knife crime / youth crime /county lines The Commissioner will pay the provider for each performance delivered at the set and agreed subsidised rate. The commissioner cannot guarantee take up or commitment from the education settings for the full contract amount. The provider will offer education settings a menu of performances, each at a subsidised rate. The subsidised rate will vary between 10% - 75%, depending on the performance chosen and the percentage will be set by the Commissioner at the beginning of each academic year. The subsidisation for each performance may change each year based on the local health & wellbeing needs and priorities of children and young people. The funding provided by Public Health (up to £40,000 per annum) will be used to subsidise the costs of the performances and the education settings will be required to pay the remainder of the costs.
