About the buyer
Birmingham City University is a higher education institution in Birmingham, and buys through a procurement team within its Finance department. That team runs tendering and awards contracts for supplies, services and works. The tender procedure, such as open or restricted, depends on the value and complexity of the requirement.
Quotes or tenders are invited when an existing contract or framework agreement cannot meet a requirement.
Over the past 5 years, most of Birmingham City University's contract awards have been in IT services, software and information systems and medical equipment and pharmaceuticals.
