Tender description
TfGM is looking to appoint a contractor to print and install Bee Network rebranding material at bus stops across Stockport, Trafford, Tameside, South Manchester and the remaining parts of Salford. This is Tranche 3 of the bus franchising project. The requirement is for the supplier to print the vinyls for the stop plates and then to install these new vinyls on the required locations after first removing the old vinyls that are currently there. The chosen Supplier must be able to start these works as soon as possible. The installation side of the works must be completed by end of December 24 at the latest. Bus stop poles vary between 3m and 4m in height and the bus stop plate that will need vinyling sits at the top of this. PDF proofs are to be made available to TfGM for review and approval prior to installation along with an in-person presentation of the standard of work in advance of contract award.

About the buyer
Transport for Greater Manchester is the local transport body behind the Bee Network, buying with its own team of CIPS-qualified procurement professionals. Tenders are advertised on ProContract, the organisation's own e-tendering portal. Larger opportunities are published as Pipeline Notices on Find a Tender, with older award notices held on Contracts Finder. Established frameworks, run either externally or in-house, cover much of what TfGM buys for ease and speed. Bus contracts follow a separate route, procured through the Bee Network's bus franchising model. Suppliers can reach the procurement team directly by email for guidance on bidding.
UK local government drives £140bn in annual procurement, led by social protection (£66.6bn) and education (£57.1bn).
Over the past 5 years, most of Transport for Greater Manchester's contract awards have been in business services, transport services and IT services.
