Tender description

Lancaster West Neighbourhood Team is seeking proposals to appoint a single competent and experienced consultant to complete a feasibility study, options appraisal, concept design, and detailed design for site-wide Landscape works, across Lancaster West Estate. The scope of this project includes comprehensive surveys of biodiversity, ecology, seating, lighting, wayfinding and surfaces (e.g., paving) across the estate and will present opportunities to maximise positive environment and social well-being. Reaching the design stage will also allow the identification and development of flood mitigation measures and meet biodiversity net gain requirements. This project will help the council meet its net-zero goals, improve the climate resilience of the estate and the perception of safety and wellbeing for residents. About the buyer

Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea is a London local authority, procuring goods, works and services for the borough's council services. Corporate, housing, construction, property and environmental contracts are advertised through Delta eSourcing. Adult social care, children's services, school works and public health opportunities run through Jaggaer instead. Suppliers must register on the Central Digital Platform to bid, a requirement under the Procurement Act 2023. Healthcare services procurement follows the Provider Selection Regime rather than a standard tender. A published corporate contract register lists live contracts and their expected re-tender dates.

UK local government drives £140bn in annual procurement, led by social protection (£66.6bn) and education (£57.1bn).

Over the past 5 years, most of Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea's contract awards have been in IT services, construction work and health and social work.
