Tender description

The Warwickshire Supported Accommodation Framework contract expires on 30th June 2025 and the Council needs to consider options for new services to commence from 1st July 2025. WCC wants to understand the market and ensure that it continues to commission value for money, quality supported accommodation services that best meet the needs of the young people in its care. Your participation will also contribute ideas as to how the current services may be improved. WCC is very keen to hear your views. Even if you cannot answer all the questions, please still complete what you can and/or provide short answers as it is important that we get as many responses as possible from a range of providers across the sector to broaden our understanding and inform future commissioning strategy. Accommodation with support provides young people leaving care who are 16/17 years old and/or UASC, with a safe living environment where they are supported to develop the skills and experience to enable them to move safely to independent living in the future. Supported accommodation is not expected to provide 'care' in the same way as children's homes and young people typically have more independence and autonomy. About the buyer

Warwickshire County Council buys as a local authority covering Warwickshire, and suppliers register free on Warwickshire In-Tend to see live tender opportunities. Framework call-offs are administered through the same In-Tend system rather than advertised separately. Larger opportunities also appear on the Central Digital Platform's Find a Tender service. Many goods and services are bought through the Eastern Shires Purchasing Organisation, a regional buying consortium. Dynamic purchasing system projects run through the council's earlier CSW-Jets In-Tend site. Bids are scored on cost and quality, and the highest-scoring bidder normally wins the contract.

UK local government drives £140bn in annual procurement, led by social protection (£66.6bn) and education (£57.1bn).

Over the past 5 years, most of Warwickshire County Council's contract awards have been in software and information systems, health and social work and business services.
