Additional wraparound support services linked to other areas of specialist need, will be accessible to this service. This service must provide a minimum seven units of single sex (predominantly if multiple locations or wholly female if one location) second stage accommodation in Leicester City in line with the Department of Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC) requirements and statutory guidance. The proposed Contract will be for one year. Further information about the opportunity can be found in the tender documentation. About the buyer

Leicester City Council buys as a local authority, advertising most opportunities through East Midlands Tenders, its regional supplier portal. Larger contracts appear on Find a Tender instead, where any supplier awarded a contract must also register from April 2026. Some contracts run through outside frameworks, including ESPO and the Government Commercial Agency. Suppliers apply to those bodies directly to become approved framework suppliers. A two-year procurement plan for 2026 to 2028 is published on the council's open data site. Supplier selection also weighs social value, such as local job creation and environmental impact, alongside price.

UK local government drives £140bn in annual procurement, led by social protection (£66.6bn) and education (£57.1bn).

Over the past 5 years, most of Leicester City Council's contract awards have been in transport services, construction work and software and information systems.
