Tender description
Wolverhampton City Council (WCC) would like to engage with the market in relation to an Information Technology Service Management Solution (ITSM). WCC are currently using an ITSM solution that was first installed 4 years ago based on requirements at the time. In the intervening period the solution has been adapted to meet changing requirements and it is now time to re-assess if, with new technologies such as AI, it is timely to investigate what new solutions are available. Any new solution should ideally be available as an “off the shelf” product to enable a speedy implementation but have the flexibility to be amended/configured to meet specific requirements later. The new solution should allow for any changes/configuration to be easily actioned by Council personnel. If your organisation would like to participate in this Request For Information (RFI) then please follow the link below to the Council’s procurement portal, complete and submit the questionnaire in the RFI document. About the buyer
Wolverhampton City Council is a local authority that runs its own corporate procurement function covering goods and services for the city. Tenders and contract opportunities are published through the ProContract portal, where free registration takes about ten minutes. A public contracts register lists every live agreement the council holds. Projects due for retender within the next three years appear in a rolling procurement pipeline. Many requirements are sourced through existing frameworks, where suppliers have already pre-competed, rather than run as fresh competitions. Registered suppliers are notified automatically when a new opportunity matches their expertise.
UK local government drives £140bn in annual procurement, led by social protection (£66.6bn) and education (£57.1bn).
Over the past 5 years, most of Wolverhampton City Council's contract awards have been in architectural and engineering services, construction work and health and social work.
