Scope of Requirement The AMRC Cymru are seeking an adaptable autonomous vehicle (including the supply and integration of a mounted robot manipulator arm) for the Welsh agricultural sector to demonstrate multiple autonomous farming activities such as harvesting, inspecting, irrigation, towing and transporting. The vehicle will need to be capable of navigating through multi-terrain and operational in both indoors (i.e. factory floor, polytunnels, glasshouses) and outdoors (i.e. pasture land, soil, concrete, rocky land). Key aspects of this adaptable autonomous vehicle include the requirement for flexibility to allow the AMRC Cymru to conduct research to highlight the capability of automation and trial modern technologies, and to disseminate knowledge and skills for the farming community to help tackle the challenges surrounding labour shortages in Wales.
