About the buyer

Thames Valley Police polices the Thames Valley area, and buys as a blue light force alongside Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary under shared procurement arrangements. Suppliers view live opportunities on the Emergency Services Tendering platform, selecting Thames Valley Police from the organisation list. Contracts also appear on the In-Tend Electronic Tendering Site's Contracts Register, open without a login. Smaller-value work is listed on Contracts Finder as a further channel. Larger notices run through TED, the successor to the Official Journal of the European Union. The force manages and hosts a joint ICT arrangement covering Hampshire Constabulary.

The top 10 blue light buyers spent a collective £2.2bn between FY2021 and FY2025.

Over the past 5 years, most of Thames Valley Police's contract awards have been in security and defence equipment, software and information systems and repair and maintenance.
