About the buyer
Trinity House is the General Lighthouse Authority for England, Wales, the Channel Islands and Gibraltar, and buys as a non-departmental public body through a dedicated procurement team in Harwich, Essex. High-value purchases go out through the Trinity House Buyer Profile and the government's Find a Tender service. Contracts Finder carries lower-value opportunities, alongside the Trinity House Procurement Portal on Delta eSourcing. Suppliers work to one of three standard contracts, CP4 for goods and services, CP3 for expert services or CP5 for marine fuel. Marine equipment, dry-docking and civil engineering work sit among the categories the team sources.
Procurement spend from central entities makes up 66% of overall UK public spend.
Over the past 5 years, most of Trinity House's contract awards have been in transport equipment, transport support and travel services and construction work.
