About the buyer
Bath and North East Somerset Council is a local authority that buys works, goods, services and professional advice through its own procurement team. Pre-agreed contracts cover almost every requirement, with spot purchases kept for low value items. External frameworks hosted by the Crown Commercial Service, ESPO, NEPO, YPO and Matrix Prism give a further route to market. Most contracts run for between three and five years.
Over the past 5 years, most of Bath and North East Somerset Council's contract awards have been in health and social work, architectural and engineering services and construction work.
