About the buyer
General Medical Council (GMC) is the UK's independent regulator of doctors, a central body with its own procurement function. A procurement policy commits every purchase to a professional, transparent process. GMC also draws on government frameworks run by the Government Commercial Agency where they fit its needs. Estates contracts, including maintenance and fit-out work, run from offices in London and Manchester.
Separate preferred supplier lists cover general recruitment and IT recruitment roles.
Over the past 5 years, most of GMC's contract awards have been in business services, IT services and construction work.
