INTEGRATED MENTAL HEALTH NETWORK SERVICE

Public Health Hackney would like to commission a provider to provide an Integrated Mental Health Network Service. This service will forms a key part of Hackney’s mental health service provision. It will reach population groups, such as minority ethnic populations that other services sometimes do not. This service will predominantly provide mental health support and recovery services to City and Hackney adult residents with complex mental health needs. Additionally, the service infrastructure should be used to support some prevention focused and more widely accessible interventions. The service will be delivered by a number of specialist providers managed by a main contractor. The specialist providers will be able to meet the varied needs of City and Hackney’s diverse population, including helping to overcome barriers to access for marginalised communities. The service aims to: 1. Improve the overall psychological health and wellbeing for City and Hackney residents who experience complex mental health needs, so that they can live healthily, independently from the service. 2. Reduce inequalities related to mental health in the City and Hackney by targeting population groups who experience greater barriers to access. 3. Strengthen prevention by reducing the overall population burden of mental ill health, the severity of disease and the escalation of existing conditions.
