Contract for The Maintenance and Repair of Lifts

Tender description

The appointment of a suitably competent and experienced contractor to carry out its future maintenance, refurbishment and replacement works on its lift stock. The successful contractor will work closely with Cyclical Maintenance Manager and Health and Safety Officer to carry out repairs, works and services to recommended schedule Gateshead Council has numerous lift installations in various buildings throughout Gateshead. The Council seeks competitive tenders from lift contractors with a view to awarding a contract to a successful tenderer (“the Contractor”) on the following basis: (a) A four year performance related comprehensive contract whereby the Contractor undertakes, for a specified all-inclusive consideration, to carry out all or any maintenance, repairs or renewal which may be or become necessary and provide an emergency 24 hour service where indicated on the schedule. (b) The Councils objectives are to maintain a high level of reliability and availability of its units by operating a system of planned preventative maintenance with response to call outs and call backs/breakdowns maintained at agreed performance levels. This contract has been called off using the NEPO408 Lifts, Escalator & Related Equipment, Maintenance, Repair & Refurbishment.
