About the buyer
Government Legal Department is a non-ministerial department and the government's principal legal advisers. A Commercial Law Group of around 120 specialists manages its procurement and contract work. Procurement services are shared with the Crown Prosecution Service. Central departments reach the legal services framework hosted by the Government Commercial Agency only through the department's own Exception process.
Over the past 5 years, most of Government Legal Department's contract awards have been in business services, software and information systems and office and computing equipment.
