About the buyer
capitalEsourcing is the eSourcing and contract management portal of Westminster City Council, a local government organisation. Suppliers must first register on the portal before they can contract with the council. Registration opens up every advertised opportunity, from a low-value request for quotes to a high-value invitation to tender. The portal itself runs on Jaggaer, and the solution provider gives suppliers technical support. Notices that the council publishes on Find a Tender link suppliers back to capitalEsourcing to place a bid. The procurement team, contract managers and suppliers run live contracts in the same system, with deadline alerts and KPI scorecards.
UK local government drives £140bn in annual procurement, led by social protection (£66.6bn) and education (£57.1bn).
Over the past 5 years, most of capitalEsourcing's contract awards have been in business services.
