About the buyer
London Borough of Enfield is the local authority for Enfield in north London, with a Procurement Services team in its Resources department providing commercial expertise across the council. Contracts are advertised and awarded in line with the council's contract procedure rules. Every procurement project above the quotation threshold runs through the London Tenders Portal. Bidders must also register on the government's Central Digital Platform, using a GOV.UK One Login account. Call-offs from frameworks let by contracting authorities are routed through the London Tenders Portal as well. Schools buy autonomously but must follow the council's procurement policies.
UK local government drives £140bn in annual procurement, led by social protection (£66.6bn) and education (£57.1bn).
Over the past 5 years, most of London Borough of Enfield's contract awards have been in architectural and engineering services, business services and construction work.
