The service is in two lots as follows; Lot 1 - Assisted Hospital Discharge Service Lot 2 - Home from Hospital Service and Carer Crisis Response Service. About the buyer
SE Shared Services is the South East Shared Services e-sourcing portal, a purchasing organisation that carries tenders for much of local government in Surrey and Sussex. The portal is hosted on the In-tend e-procurement platform. Suppliers register free, then use their account to access tender documents and submit bids. Crawley Borough Council leads a shared procurement service for Horsham, Mid Sussex and Mole Valley district councils. Every tender from that service is advertised on the portal, and larger contracts also appear on Find a Tender. Brighton & Hove City Council and Reigate and Banstead Borough Council also publish their opportunities on it.
UK local government drives £140bn in annual procurement, led by social protection (£66.6bn) and education (£57.1bn).
Over the past 5 years, most of SE Shared Services's contract awards have been in construction materials, construction work and installation services.
