Pressure-reducing valves

Tender description

Notification of award of the following: Thames Water wishes to award one or more Framework Agreements to supplier(s) capable of providing pressure reducing valve controllers and associated systems. These must be smart and intelligent controllers with algorithmic web based software for data collection and remote control capability. The system must minimise leakage and burst frequency by intelligently optimising pressures in the distribution network. Any agreement would be for an initial term of 3 years with options to extend up to a maximum duration of 8 years. The scope of this procurement is for the supply of pressure reducing valve controllers and associated systems only (web based data collection software, external battery pack, installation kits, etc.). The overall system must be an integrated control system that works with our existing PRVs and utilises our existing critical pressure points (CPPs). The system must minimise leakage and burst frequency by intelligently optimising pressures in the distribution network. The controllers and loggers must be suitable for below ground installation or harsh environment. They must have built in telemetry features and a low physical I/O count and will be used in the following applications: pressure reducing valve control, pressure management at pumps and/or any combination. All controllers and loggers shall be capable of integrating with the existing operational regional Telemetry/SCADA systems. They need to meet exisiting functional requirements and be adaptable to support future application requirements. In addition, the controllers and loggers shall fully support open standards for communication protocols, control programming and industrial networks.
