About the buyer

East Renfrewshire Council is a Scottish local authority based near Glasgow, buying as a local government organisation through its own corporate procurement team. Much of its purchasing runs through Scotland Excel frameworks and Procurement for Housing Scotland frameworks. A Corporate Procurement Strategy sets out how purchasing supports the council's wider objectives. Major contracts carry community benefit clauses covering local training, employment and business supply chains.

Over the past 5 years, most of East Renfrewshire Council's contract awards have been in construction work, architectural and engineering services and software and information systems.
