About the buyer

Affinity Water Limited buys as a utility from its base in Hatfield. Purchases above set thresholds fall under the Utilities Contracts Regulations 2016. Category managers work directly with contracted suppliers to manage spend areas. A pre-qualification questionnaire may be used to shortlist suppliers before tenders are issued. A panel of stakeholders then scores each tender against predetermined criteria. A standstill period applies before any higher-value contracts are signed.

Over the past 5 years, most of Affinity Water Limited's contract awards have been in construction materials, public utilities and business services.
