Tender description
RFI for Oracle Automated Testing Lot 1: Fife Council is seeking information from the marketplace regarding automated testing solutions capable of supporting the Council’s Oracle Cloud environment. Following the successful completion of a Proof of Concept (PoC), the Council is considering the procurement of an automated testing solution to improve the efficiency, consistency and coverage of system testing activities associated with Oracle Cloud updates and changes. Oracle Cloud delivers four major quarterly releases each year, alongside a monthly patching regime focused on security updates, defect resolution and performance enhancements. These continual updates introduce a significant testing requirement to ensure that critical business processes continue to function as expected. The Council currently relies heavily on manual testing activities undertaken by service users and subject matter experts. Given the increasing frequency of updates and limited service capacity, there is a growing risk that defects, configuration issues or unintended impacts may not be identified until they affect live service delivery. The Council is therefore seeking information from suppliers regarding automated testing tools, implementation approaches, licensing models and best practice methodologies that could assist in reducing testing effort whilst improving confidence in Oracle Cloud updates and releases.
