About the buyer

North Tyneside Council delivers local services across the borough as a local authority. The Business Factory, the council's business support programme, offers workshops and one-to-one help with bids for larger contracts.

A Dynamic Purchasing System lets suppliers apply at any time, with compliance checked first and mini-competitions run for individual requirements. Suppliers can opt out of individual mini-competitions without losing their place on the DPS.

Over the past 5 years, most of North Tyneside Council's contract awards have been in construction materials, health and social work and construction work.
