Architectural Services of the NHS SBS Healthcare Planning, Construction Consultancy and Ancillary Services Framework

Tender description

The Supplier has been appointed under Lot 1 – Architectural Services of the NHS SBS Healthcare Planning, Construction Consultancy and Ancillary Services Framework (SBS10190). The Services shall comprise the RIBA Stage 5 (Construction) architectural and design support services required for the Fire Safety Improvements Project at Whitecroft and Clarks Close, in accordance with the relevant provisions of Lot 1 of the NHS SBS Framework Specification which takes precedent. The Stage 5 Services shall include but are not limited to: • Consultation and liaison with Building Control and other statutory authorities as required. • Design coordination during the construction stage. • Coordination with the Principal Contractor, consultants, designers and other project stakeholders as necessary. • Review of contractor-designed elements and contractor technical proposals as required. • Monitoring construction works in relation to design compliance and design intent. • Advice relating to design and implementation matters arising during construction. In addition, the Supplier shall undertake the role of Building Regulations Principal Designer and discharge all duties associated in accordance with Part 2A of the Building Regulations 2010 (as amended), together with any statutory guidance, secondary legislation and duties applicable at the time of appointment.
