Tender description

This is a peer-led recovery support service delivered by volunteers with local knowledge and lived experience of alcohol and/or drug use. Recovery Communities will collaborate with statutory services, third-sector partners, national recovery networks, and the wider Glasgow Recovery-Oriented System of Care to ensure individuals can access the full range of supports they need. This includes system-wide pathways into prevention, harm reduction, treatment, recovery support, employability and education. Clearly defined, actively maintained, and well-communicated pathways will enable individuals to move easily between services as their needs change, reducing barriers, preventing disengagement, and strengthening recovery outcomes across Glasgow’s communities. Lot 1: Recovery Communities will: -Provide a wide range of recovery-focused activities and supports for individuals and families affected by alcohol and/or drug-related harm. -Identify unmet needs and service gaps, using lived experience insight to shape responsive service development. -Build and sustain collaborative partnerships with statutory and third sector organisations to support a cohesive, recovery-oriented system of care. -Empower lived experience voices to contribute meaningfully at operational, strategic and systems level forums. -Develop self-sustaining structures, ensuring continuity, community ownership and long-term resilience. -Demonstrate sustainability and measurable impact, contributing to a stronger, more connected recovery landscape across local communities.. The contract term is 4 years with option to extend for a further 2 years. The annual value is 80,000 and maximum total contract value including extensions is 480,000 GBP The funding supports the organisation to secure venues in the local communities it serves and to offer recovery cafes and events that are of significant value to people with lived and living experience of alcohol and/or drug use.
