NHS Golden Jubilee Board is publishing this VEAT Notice in the interests of transparency in relation to its intention to award a contract in accordance with Regulation 33 of the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015. NHS Golden Jubilee intends to award a contract to Promed for the provision of maintenance and support services for the Biolitec Leonardo Dual 100W Laser System (SN. 0879-L). The contract includes planned preventative maintenance, breakdown support, calibration, electrical safety testing, software updates, and equipment performance verification. The equipment is specialist clinical laser technology used in patient care and requires servicing by engineers authorised and factory-trained by the manufacturer. The award will ensure the continued safe, compliant, and reliable operation of the equipment and minimise any risk of disruption to clinical services. Promed is a company that is an authorised service provider for the Biolitec Leonardo Dual 100W Laser System (SN. 0879-L). Due to the specialist nature of the equipment, maintenance, calibration, software updates, performance verification and repair services require manufacturer-approved procedures, proprietary technical knowledge, and access to manufacturer-specific parts and software. Services must be undertaken by engineers who have received factory training and authorisation from Biolitec.
