Tender description
Wyre Council is seeking Registered Providers (RP) to deliver high-quality new affordable homes, helping to meet local housing needs while contributing to the area's growth and prosperity. We have recently acquired a cleared site (0.12 acres) in Fleetwood which has extant planning permission (04/00207/FULMAJ) for a 4-storey building consisting of 18 self contained apartments and ground floor commercial units. We envisage the site to be entirely residential and given the length of time that has passed, the scheme will likely need re-designing and a fresh planning application submitted. Wyre Council is not a stock holding authority therefore we are seeking an RP who would not only deliver the units but also retain them in their portfolio in perpetuity. This opportunity is a new venture for the Council and we would like RP's to express their interest informally with a vision of how this could be delivered. The affordable housing should compliment the Council asset next door, Fleetwood Market, and be designed in harmony with the conservation area. Please express interest in this opportunity and submit your response to the document provided to procurement@wyre.gov.uk. Alternatively you can submit your response through the portal. Keywords: housing management, affordable homes, registered provider, house building
