Tender for Clerk of Works service for Warm Home local Grant

Tender description

This new service will act as an independent, technical auditor to verify the design and installation of energy efficiency and low carbon heating measures within Warm Homes Local Grant. It is expected this service will focus on certain measures, particularly External/Internal Wall Insulation, and Air Source Heat Pumps, following the recent National Audit Office report into failures with insulation. The expectation is that by implementing a Clerk of Works service we can assure the quality of designs and installations undertaken by the programme to support residents. Lot 1: GLA intends for all External Wall Insulation, Internal Wall Insulation and Air Source Heat Pump installations to be reviewed by the Clerk of Works, plus a selection of other properties, with the aim to review 15% of properties delivered under the WHLG programme. Under the WHSHF programme, the intention is to undertake a desktop review of 9% of properties and on-site reviews of 1% of the properties completed. This aligns with the requirements within the Grant Funding Agreement for independent quality assurance under the WHSHF programme.
