Provision of replacement Industrial & Commercial Customer Metering Equipment in connection with a Gas Distribution Network '27

Tender description

Phoenix is commencing a meter replacement programme on a ‘like for like’ basis for Industrial & Commercial meter installations and is looking to appoint Supplier(s) who can supply rotary positive displacement (RPD) and turbine meters in support of this specific asset work. The supply of meters is required for up to an eight-year period from 2027 to 2035 inclusive. The initial contract period shall be four consecutive calendar years with an optional extension period, at Phoenix discretion, for a further four years. Whilst there is no guarantee of any minimum nor maximum workload, the estimated total number of meters required during the initial four-year period (2027 – 2031) is expected to be approximately 205 units of which 197 are RPD meters and 8 are turbine meters. Should an extension period be invoked, then the estimated number of meter replacements for the four-year period 2032 – 2035 shall be expected to be approximately 86 RPD meters and 13 turbine meters. RPD variants are required in the flow range 65m3/hr to 400m3/hr (G40 to G250) and turbine variants in the flow range 650m3/hr to 4000m3/hr (G400 to G2500). Meters supplied shall be suitable for the primary registration (fiscal transfer) of dry natural gas at delivery pressures ranging from 21mbar (standard metering pressure) up to 7bar for unregulated supplies. Meters shall be approved under the Measuring Instruments Directive (2014/32/EU) and will display / register the quantity of gas passed in m3 (cubic metres). Meters shall be compliant with the Pressure Equipment Directive (2014/68/EU)
