Award Notice for the provision waste management services to undertake the collection, recycling and disposal services for non-hazardous wastes and recycling streams from the University’s Edinburgh Campus. Lot 1: The University’s key objectives for the service are: "The provision of a value-for-money, responsive, and reliable waste service" "Ensuring the safety of students, staff and visitors to the Edinburgh Campus by ensuring that services are provided in a manner designed to minimise risks associated with movements of vehicles and containers" "Support in the facilitation of our Scotland target to increase from a 35% recycling rate (baseline) to a 45% recycling rate by 2028 through continuous improvement within rates of waste minimisation, recycling and material recovery" "A proactive approach to development of the service in accordance with changes to these requirements" "The provision of accurate and comprehensive management information on all waste uplifts from the Edinburgh Campus by the service provider, in a user-focussed format to enable monitoring and management of contractor performance, waste quantities and associated Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions" "Minimisation of visual impacts associated with waste infrastructure and servicing arrangements" "Capability to recycle lab plastics which have been sterilised by chemical and/or autoclave processing alongside other mixed recyclates".
