The same opportunities also appear nationally on Contracts Finder and Find a Tender. Every advertised contract is then processed through the council's own eTendering portal. Suppliers with questions about the process can contact the corporate procurement team directly by email.

UK local government drives £140bn in annual procurement, led by social protection (£66.6bn) and education (£57.1bn).

Over the past 5 years, most of Birmingham City Council's contract awards have been in transport equipment, transport services and architectural and engineering services.
