About the buyer

Kirklees Council is a West Yorkshire local authority with a corporate procurement team led by a Head of Procurement and Commissioning. Service Directors hold the authority to commence and award procurements in their own directorates. Approved frameworks, dynamic purchasing systems and dynamic markets are permitted routes to market. The Head of Procurement keeps a list of approved central purchasing organisations, including YPO and the Crown Commercial Service.

Over the past 5 years, most of Kirklees Council's contract awards have been in construction work, construction materials and health and social work.
