About the buyer
Achieving for Children Community Interest Company delivers children's social care, education and health services for three local authorities, buying as a not-for-profit social enterprise rather than a council department. The Royal Borough of Kingston and the London Borough of Richmond set up the company in 2014. Windsor & Maidenhead joined as a third owner in 2017. All three councils commission the company and work closely with it to set shared service priorities.
Over the past 5 years, most of Achieving for Children Community Interest Company's contract awards have been in transport services, health and social work and transport equipment.
