Tender description

***This is not a tender exercise by the Education Authority*** Education Authority Northern Ireland (EANI) is currently preparing to initiate a procurement process to award a Framework Agreement for the supply and delivery of Musical Instruments to EA schools and music centres throughout Northern Ireland. EANI wishes to engage with the market at this stage to establish the level of market interest and to gather information that will be beneficial in the tendering process. Suppliers who wish to participate in the market engagement exercise should complete the pre-market engagement questionnaire. Further information including the questionnaire can be downloaded from CfT Documents. The questionnaire must be completed and submitted no later than 3pm on Friday 11th July 2025. There are no formal tender documents to be completed other than the questionnaire. Any information gathered will NOT be considered in any future tender evaluation exercise. Participation or non-participation in this pre-procurement market engagement shall not prevent any supplier/provider participating in a potential procurement process nor is it intended that any information supplied shall place any supplier/provider at an advantage in any forthcoming procurement process. For the avoidance of doubt, this stage of the project is not part of a formal procurement process and there is no commitment, at this stage, to carrying out such a process.

About the buyer

Education Authority Northern Ireland administers most education sector procurement in Northern Ireland, and buys as a non-departmental public body with its own procurement service. That service is one of six Centres of Procurement Expertise in Northern Ireland. Procurement support also goes to schools, school meals kitchens and youth clubs. Contract categories run from transport, fleet and catering to construction, ICT and business services.

Dynamic purchasing systems are open to join, and a published pipeline lists current activity.

Over the past 5 years, most of Education Authority Northern Ireland's contract awards have been in IT services, construction work and business services.
