About the buyer

Mayo County Council is the local authority for County Mayo in the west of Ireland, procuring under Ireland's national Public Procurement Policy Framework. A dedicated Procurement Office based in Castlebar, headed by a Procurement Officer, runs tendering on the council's behalf. A five-year Corporate Procurement Plan, covering 2025 to 2029, sets the council's purchasing objectives. Works contracts such as plant hire are tendered through a Dynamic Purchasing System.

Over the past 5 years, most of Mayo County Council's contract awards have been in construction work, architectural and engineering services and security and defence equipment.
