About the buyer
Bassetlaw District Council is the local authority covering the market towns of Worksop and Retford in north Nottinghamshire. For contracts below the higher threshold, the council collects written quotations from at least three suppliers, with preference for SME and local firms. Contracts above that level go through a full, open tender process. Before any new competition opens, the council first checks for an existing contract or framework it can call off instead.
Over the past 5 years, most of Bassetlaw District Council's contract awards have been in construction work, software and information systems and IT services.
