About the buyer
Kirklees Council is a West Yorkshire local authority with a corporate procurement team led by a Head of Procurement and Commissioning. Larger contracts also appear on Find a Tender through the Central Digital Platform. Service Directors hold the authority to commence and award procurements in their own directorates. Approved frameworks, dynamic purchasing systems and dynamic markets are permitted routes to market. The Head of Procurement keeps a list of approved central purchasing organisations, including YPO and the Crown Commercial Service.
