About the buyer
East Ayrshire Council is a local authority run from Kilmarnock, with its own corporate procurement team. Smaller purchases go through a Quick Quote process before larger contracts reach full tender. The council's Corporate Procurement Strategy sets out how the team applies procurement regulations and value for money.
A free Supplier Development Programme runs workshops and Meet the Buyer events for businesses new to public sector bidding.
Over the past 5 years, most of East Ayrshire Council's contract awards have been in construction work, architectural and engineering services and IT services.
