IHR Strengthening Events and Logistics Management and Technical Assistance - Pakistan

Tender description

To provide in-county Events Management and Logistics Services and Technical Assistance for UKHSA staff and contractors in Pakistan in accordance with the Specification. Lot 1: The Authority entered into a contract with Contech International on 04/04/2025 for services in Pakistan following an Open Competition. The contract provided for three extensions of twelve months each to a maximum term to 31/03/2029.<br/><br/>A Contact Modification (CM) has now been executed in accordance with Regulation 72(1)(b) of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. The CM is to extend provision in the Indo-Pacific Region until 28/02/2027 while an Open Procedure under PA23 is conducted.<br/><br/>Section 72(1)(b) of PCR 2015 provides for modifications in situations where services additional to those originally anticipated are required i.e. ‘for additional…services…by the original contractor that have become necessary and were not included in the initial procurement, where a change of contractor (i) cannot be made for economic or technical reasons…or (ii) would cause significant inconvenience or substantial duplication of costs…’, provided that any increase in price does not exceed 50% of the value of the original contract’<br/><br/>The modification has also decreased the insurance limits of the contract, agreed by both supplier and authority. <br/><br/>No change to overall value or term of contract.
