Tender description
The NHS Health Check is a health check-up for adults in England aged 40 to 74 years. It's designed to spot early signs of stroke, kidney disease, heart disease, type 2 diabetes or dementia. As people get older, they have a higher risk of developing one of these conditions. An NHS Health Check helps find ways to lower this risk. The check is available to those aged 40 - 74, however if an individual already has a diagnosis of any of the following, then they are not eligible for an NHS Health Check. The same opportunities also appear nationally on Contracts Finder and Find a Tender. Every advertised contract is then processed through the council's own eTendering portal. Suppliers with questions about the process can contact the corporate procurement team directly by email.
UK local government drives £140bn in annual procurement, led by social protection (£66.6bn) and education (£57.1bn).
Over the past 5 years, most of Birmingham City Council's contract awards have been in transport equipment, transport services and architectural and engineering services.
